Apex Academy of Professional Grooming & Animal Arts was founded with the goal to assist those who want to follow their dream in the pet industry and more specifically- in grooming. Whether you are going to the cats or going to the dogs, we would love to be a part of your journey.

Founded by Connie Buchanan B.ED. , a lifelong educator and grooming business owner. Connie’s dream is to elevate the grooming profession with higher skills, and business savvy.

Our 4000 square foot facility is equipped with 20 dog grooming stations, clipper-vac systems, & tub room. The cat area is in a separate area. Students experience the best in cat groom equipment with Catty Shak Vacs, to cat-appropriate stainless steel tubs and tables.
All theory classes for both dogs and cats are done in a second-floor classroom, equipped with grooming tables and a projector for instruction.
Multiple facets of learning, all under ONE roof
Zoom Zoom Groom and PreZoomably Cats have two very busy mobile grooming vehicles. The students get to experience the life of a mobile groomer and participate in several days on the road. Due to the fact that we also have a retail area, part of the business course will include adding extra revenues to your income.

I’ve been a professional groomer at Zoom Zoom Groom since 2012. I am also the lead instructor of Apex Academy of Professional Grooming since 2020.
I love participating in competitive grooming and I have attended shows throughout North America.
In 2017, I was nominated and awarded “Canadian Up and Coming Groomers of the Year.”
In this same year, I was invited to be a guest speaker of Global Groomers- The Dynasty Collection.
In 2019, I won Best In Show at MasterGroom Canada and ranked overall in the top 10 Canadian groomers.
The skills I learn through competition are the ones I want to share with my students.

Hello, I will be teaching you from time to time. I am a professional Canine Pet Stylist and the manager of Apex Academy, Zoom Zoom Groom, & PreZoomably Cats.
My love for this industry runs deep. I’ve been a part of Zoom Zoom Groom for 12 years, and I genuinely love what I do.
I never dreamed being a groomer could lead me to learn so many diverse skills, including management and business strategies.
Of course, I love nothing better than an adorable curly coat on my table, but grooming now is so much more than that!
I’m excited to help alongside Yufei to bring all the learnings to you to have a successful, efficient, and profitable business.

Hi there, I'm Nicole, and I'm the crazy cat lady and instructor for the Feline Groomer Program.
I love nothing more than this cat world, and I love learning too.
I am a Certified Feline Master Groomer & a Canine Pet Stylist, but my true passion is cats.
I am a Certified Instructor for the National Cat Groomer's Institute, and I love mentoring and facilitating the learning of future CFMG's.
The cat grooming industry is bleeding for professional cat groomers, and I want to show you how to groom cats safely efficiently and enjoy the profitable rewards at the same time.
Nothing motivates me more than to see students' successes attending this program.
